    (i) George Nodes, Shephall, Hertfordshire, Esquire (ii) Thomas Coppin, Acton, Middlesex, Esquire George Nodes, Southill, gentleman George Draper, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, gentleman --- Manor of Shephall alias Shephallbury, Hertfordshire, and all lands & tenements of (i) in Shephall, Aston, Datchworth & Stevenage --- Manor of Holwell & all lands & tenements in Holwell & Shillington --- Manor of Langford --- all lands & tenements in Langford, Henlow, Clifton, Biggleswade --- all lands & tenements in Arlesey, alias Arlesey Lanthony. (i) to (ii) in trust, 500 years. to uses: of (i) for life, then out of rents and profits to raise £20 each per annum maintenance for Susannah, Deborah, Jane, Mary, Thomas & John Nodes, 7 of the younger children of (i), during the widowhood of Elizabeth Nodes, wife of (i), until their portions become due, or if Elizabeth Nodes dies or marries again before all or any of the 7 children come of age, then those who are not of age to have £30 per annum. Also out of rents and profits, or by sale of all or part of the premises to raise portions of £1,000 for each of the younger children. If George Nodes, son & heir apparent of (i) dies without issue so that Thomas becomes heir, or if likewise John becomes heir, or if any of the 7 children die before their portions become due, their portions are to be divided equally among the survivors. If more than 4 portions, portions over 4 to be paid to the heir. George Nodes, son & heir of (i) to give security for performance of covenants.
