    i) Samuel Whitbread of Cardington, the elder, esquire ii) Samuel Whitbread the younger, only son of i) iii) Elizabeth Grey, spinster, daughter of Lieutenant General Sir Charles Grey K.B. iv) Henry Beauchamp Lord St. John, baron St. John of Bletso Charles Brandling of Gosforth House, Northumberland v) Charles Grey of Fallodon, Northumberland, esquire Jacob Whitbread of Lowdon Hall, Suffolk, esquire vi) John Wingate Jennings of Harlington, esquire Newton Ogle D.D. Dean of Winchester On the marriage of ii) and iii) - property in Cardington and Old Warden, as in W3311 vested in iv) in trust, to raise an annuity of £2,500 to be paid to ii) iii) is to have £600 per annum of said annuity during her widowhood, and provision for maintenance of minor children; this estate is entailed vi) are vested with a term of 99 years in the estate, to secure payment of the annuity v) are vested with a term of 1,000 years in the estate for raising £30,000 to be the portion of the children of ii) and iii), if there are more than the heir, and if there is only one other daughter, £15,000: to be paid after the death of i) and ii) if a daughter is the heiress then her husband is to take the name Whitbread, and quarter the arms with his own, within a year of her becoming entitled, or else the inheritance will be void - Lands leased from the Hospital of St. John, Bedford as in W3313 vested in iv) in trust, to renew leases for lives as they fall in, and subject to trusts as before, except the terms of years - the Rectory of Cardington, leased from Trinity College, Cambridge, 26 April 1786 lease assigned to iv) in trust as above schedule of lands, with property, vendor, acreage, tenant and rent Cardington estate: net income £1,600 - Cardington Rectory, leasehold - Barns close, land and Lyntz pightle, 30 acres - 17 acres 2 perches in Harrowden Field - Cardington Manor House Farm, Long field Farm and woods, 380 acres - 56 acres 2 roods leased from St. Johns Hospital, Bedford - Great Farm, Green Farm etc., 531 acres 2 roods - 58 acres 2 roods in the common field at Cardington - Harrowden estate, 217 acres - Cardington Manor and royalties, 101 acres - Cardington Estcourts manor, 132 acres - Cotton End estate, 315 acres - Cardington Estcourts manor house at Fenlake, the water corn mill - the house at Cardington next the Great House, and several small pieces of land, 23 acres 9 perches - 47 cottages: 23 in Cardington village 12 in Harrowden 10 in Cotton End 2 in Fenlake Old Warden estate net income £1,150 - Warden Manor - The Manor Farm, 179 acres 3 roods 26 perches - Two Woods, 310 acres 6 perches - Garnars Farm, 83 acres 2 roods 1 perch - Clay Pitt Farm, 169 acres 1 rood 16 perches - Whittemores Farm, 72 acres 1 rood - Prestons Farm, 78 acres 10 perches - The Abbey Farm - Park Grange Farm 231 acres 3 roods 31 perches - Inskipps Farm 177 acres 2 roods 29 perches - Sweet Briar Farm, 92 acres 3 roods 22 perches - Deadmans Oak Farm, 89 acres 2 roods 27 perches - 32 cottages built and 2 old ones signatures. i) ii) iii) iv) and Charles Grey witnesses.
