    Ike told he must not go out when its cold. Dorothy better. Susan goes to school daily at the Convent School at Bedford & wants to go to Oxford. Christopher offered place at Merton. Richard will be doing national service next year. Jonathan is head of the lower school, Colin passed 8 subjects in the school certificate. ‘Joyce has got Patricia Bell helping her in the office now. She has been in a similar post at Winchester for 7 years, she has digs in Bedford & goes home each weekend – this weekend Joyce is going to Nottingham to stay with one of her late assistants & his wife, he graduated there form Bedford the next one went to Cornwall this year – the Bedford Office seems to have made a name for itself in training its assistants. Actually I believe it started with Dr Fowler who was a very good Archivist before Joyce’s time.’ Not going to make any marmalade. Hopes Tom Betty & Adrian are well also Percy & family. How is little Denise?
