Having a whist drive for the Bishop’s raising of money for the new churches ‘we used to have them in the war when we were buying wool for knitting.’ Bad photo of Joyce in the paper but interesting article. Railway strike in the offing. Joe and Miriam will be busy ‘I don’t know of course if he will get in or not he really has plenty to do without that but they are now amalgamating the two nurseries so Frank will take a more prominent part in that nursery, especially as the manager is just leaving to start on his own & they are having another one…’
