Glad to see Edith. Visits from the vicar and Mrs Spavins 'Martha as we call her' is Charlie Woodings sister. He has been to Yarmouth and wanted Olive to bring Bess a kipper. Geof & Norah arrived with caravan – going to Princess Margaret do at the school then taking the 2 boys on holiday for half term. George & Norma, Colin and Bridget called, Colin in diving display. Joe called on his way to open the fete. Glad Mabel and the baby doing well. Joe caught the speaker’s eye and is going to send Hansard. Geof bought some lovely sweet peas 'he says he makes 3d a bloom had taken 6 doz into Shrewsbury yesterday morning'.
