Tim arriving from Singapore. He is 9 and going to Bedford School as a boarder. Joyce and Susan had been to Cornwall for a week. Thyra & Penny coming home soon. Jenny has to finish her school term and examination. Doesn’t know how farmers will cope if weather doesn’t soon alter. Bill finds his drier very useful but there is so much extra work.
