Edith says they have an invalid chair & Dad amused at his joy rides. News of the servants – Janie has not been at all well ‘I’m afraid the poor old thing is getting too old to be bothered with children….of course she only has a very small income…’ Glad to hear Dad looking so well. Glad it looks nice in the C. Yard. ‘Edith said that Mr Rowdon said he should like to put an oak base to the lectern in memory of Mother…can’t think Dad would approve…’ Will went to the Scarcliffe & district farmers whist drive & dance ‘he had only been to our little village affairs, but evidently this one got rather rousy towards the end – but he said he enjoyed it at least he said it was A1...’ Thinks Joyce is going to be confirmed 1st week in March. What does she sell turkey eggs at? Colder snap given them colds.
