(i) John Towersey, Clerk, B.D., Master of St. John's Hospital, and brethren; (ii) Richard Newton of Lavendon grange, D.D., Principal of Hart Hall, Oxford +; (iii) John Sugars of Bedford, husbandman; -- a farm called the Bury in the parish of St. Peter Merton alias St. Peter in the fields; for lives of Charles Gore (son of Ger[rard] Gore of Northampton, gentleman); Samuel Berrill, a son of Edward Berrill of Yardley Hastings, husbandman; Henry Collier, son of Henry Collier of Lavendon, yeoman; in consideration of the surrender by Richard Newton of former lease granted by Edward Bourne, previous master, to Thomas Newton late of Yardley Park, Northamptonshire, esquire; and a competent sum paid by (ii) to (i); witnesses.
