    Benjamin Palmer of Bedford, gentleman Samuel Whitbread of Cardington, esquire -- a cottage in Elstow late in the occupation of James Smith & Widow Jones, then John Wells, now Edward Prigmore & William Brooks (as undertenants to Thomas Eyles); a cottage formerly a barn, adjoining, in the occupation of Samuel Goodman (as undertenant etc.,); a pightle 1/2 acre with dovehouse, abutting West on a cottage and close of John Buckle, North on a cottage of Samuel Whitbread in the occupation of John Harvey, East & South on the common street; heretofore purchased by Thomas Palmer of James Cox of Elstow, yeoman; -- a pightle, 1 1/2 acres, in same occupation, abutting East on Sharp Field, West on the common street, North on a cottage of Samuel Whitbread in the occupation of Thomas Harvey; with a toft whereon a cottage lately stood; the pightle abuts South on a close of Samuel Whitbread in the occupation of Mary Harvey, widow; a pightle, 1 acre, in same occupation, abutting East and West as above, North on a cottage of Stephen Hawthorn and cottage of Wilden charity in the occupation of John Smith, South on a close of Samuel Whitbread in the occupation of Gilbert Dossiter; both pightles purchased by Thomas Palmer from John Bromsall of Bedford, gentleman; the toft by Benjamin Palmer from Elizabeth Read; witnesses.
