Scope and Content
Under the Diocesan scheme for the inspection of Churches, every church is inspected every five years by an architect who prepares a report and gives recommendations regarding necessary repairs etc. Copies of the report are sent to the Incumbent and Parochial Church Council (white), the Archdeacon (yellow), and the Diocesan Secretary (green). The copies listed below are those originally deposited with the Diocesan Secretary, but further copies may be found in the Archdeaconry records (ref: ABV43 1983-1989) and in the records of the parishes concerned (ref: P etc). Records in this collection originally which are duplicated in the Parish records have been deleted and are shown as allied documents.
