James Baker of Middlesex, periwig-maker, & wife Lettice, (daughter of Constance Penn, by former husband; Constance is now wife of Benjamin Faulkner; she was daughter of William Manley of Bedford, gentleman, deceased) Benjamin Faulkner as above -- recites: will of William Manley, 28 March 1705; devises to son John manorhouse in West Cotton, Wilstead, and lands in Wilstead, house in Bedford wherein testator dwelt, charged with £100 to Lettice recites also death of John Manley (married Elizabeth Hardin); his widow has felled timber, and has paid £50 of the £100 witnesses.
