    (i) Sir Arthur Savage, Sara Smithe, Richard Ironside, Richard Millard (ii) William Plomer -- the manor of Hill etc.; the mansion called Hill House; recites:- W2361 12 June 1616: Robert Mildmaye & John Cason, citizens & grocers of London, Edward Cason of Middle Temple, & William Plomer, to Sir Arthur Savage for life, remainder to Sara Smithe, heirs of Sir Arthur: bargain & sale of manors of Cardington & Eastcotts alias Cotton and 1/4 barony of Bedford; 22 March 1612 (sic): Edward Cason, William Plomer, Robert Mildmaye & John Cason to Sir Richard Lovelace, Edmund Mollineux & Alexander Searle: to pay 2 annuities: - £350 for 60 years (If Lady Dorothy Wharton shall so long live) and £50 from Mich[?aelmas] and after death of John Gascoigne, late of Cople, esquire for 60 years during lifetime of said John Gascoigne charged with some payment or incumbrance had made or done by the said Lord Wharton and Lady Dorothy his wife or by some of the Gascoignes, under which Sir Barrentine Mollins of Clapcott, Berkshire, had a rent charge of £50 at suit of Alice Gilbert, late wife & administratrix of Edmund Gilbert, lands were extended under Statute Staple for debt of £2000 of T. Colby father of Lady Dorothy Wharton, to Edward Gilbert, which interest was afterwards granted to Sir Richard Mollineux, knight and Thomas Mollineux, esquire, to use of Lady Wharton, and since with her consent assigned to Robert Mildmaye and John Cason now Edward Cason & William Plomer agree to pay the 2 yearly rents to Lady Dorothy Wharton and the 1 yearly rent to Barrentine Mollins, and acquit Arthur Savage and Sara Smithe of it; and any other incurred by Richard & Thomas Mollineux at instance of Lady Dorothy Wharton witnesses.
