Copy of letter from Ministry of Education to Bedfordshire County Council stating the date of the original deed settling the premises for educational purposes to be 11 July 1853 but this became void due to the death of the grantor within 12 months. On 26 November 1853 the heir, Sir Robert Harry Inglis conveyed the premises upon trust for schools. The letter includes the terms of the grant and was written to show what purposes the buildings could be put to upon closure of the school.
