    Settlement on the marriage of Elizabeth Bates, widow of Great Gaddesden to George Catherall. Jointure to include the following property: (a) the messuage in Luton where George Catherall now lives, with everything pertaining to it except the malthouses, the shop and malt or corn loft, and the row of outhouses on the right side of the yard belonging to the messuage with the passage to them; these are to be excluded until the marriage has taken place. (b) land abutting: the manor of John Rotherham esquire called Langleys to the S; the cottage of George Catherall called Herbonds to the N; the mannor of Langlyes to the E; the King's highway from Luton to St. Albans to the W (c) 1 acre of arable land lying in the common field in Luton called Bayle Field with the land of Sir John Napier to the E Also mentions dower of George Catherall's mother Sarah.
