Letter to W F A Fletcher from adjutant of 2/1st Beds Yeomanry (at Hatfield Peverel, Essex), re Robert William Brookbanks, discharged n 2 Nov 1914 as medically unfit. RWB did not service in 2/1st but was transferred from 1.1.st and discharged on the same day by Maj Peel (2nd in Command of 1.1.st Beds Yeomanry). Pencilled note, presumably by W F A Fletcher, highlights need to know the length of RWB’s service, doctor who examined him and whereabouts of his certificate.Entry no 75 in PSBW1/51 reveals RWB was before the magistrates on a charge of absenteeism from HM Forces. The charge was withdrawn
