    Covering letter highlighting the context of the information provided in the Appendices. Appendix A: Chantry certificate dated 14 February 1546-7. In the last year of Henry VIII's reign he obtained an Act for dissolving the chantries which became inoperative on his death but certificates were prepared under it. This is the certificate prepared for the chantry of Corpus Christi in Leighton Buzzard. Appendix B: Rental of the fraternity or guild of Corpus Christi in Leighton Buzzard listing holders of lands and their rents -William Elyngham, Richard Gurney, Agnes Herryson, Thomas Browne, William Gibson, John Surrege, Thomas Colyer, Margaret Lownde, William Baxselay, John Homes, Henry Butterfield, Thomas Haithorne, Richard Nevill, Simon Hawkeshede, Richard Halle, William Johnson, George Lodge, Simon Jane. Sum of rental £12 4s 3d. Monies payable to various institutions and individuals amount to 23s 1d. Net £11 0s 14d. Various obligations amounting to 36s 5d. Memorandum citing the award of the licence to the Duke and Duchess of Suffolk to establish the fraternity with details of it. Appendix C: a breviate dated 1547-8 giving the value of the Fraternity of Leighton being £7 16s 4d annually and the incumbent Thomas Richardes being paid £6 13s 4d. He is said to be meanly learned and with no other living. There is no school, preacher or relief of the poor. Appendix D: Minister's accounts. 1307-1309 Accounts of Walter de Molesworth, keeper of the manor of La Grave which was held by Walter de Langeton, Bishop of Coventry and Lichfield. Appendix E: Minister's accounts. Account of John de Horkestowe and others of the issue of lands etc of alien religious houses seized by the king 1324-1327. La Grove was not seized as it has already been granted by the Abbess of Fontevrault to Lady Mary de Woodstock, the king's sister. Appendix F; refers to seizure of the church of Tintagel.
