Weekly shopping lists for food with prices paid Payments to Hilson for milk are listed e.g. 17 pints 4/3d Nicholas's wife 'Elf' (Elfrieda) and her maid are mentioned as coming to stay (16.6.24). Also on 7th Nov 1924 'Elf, baby & Laura (nurse) came.' Maids are mentioned several times e.g 6th-11th Oct1924 'All 4 maids went to Wembley for the day on the 9th' 9th Dec 'Concert for 4 blind people performers in Turvey School. We all went.'
