    Began in 1909 as T & J Jackson Ltd making small country house lighting sets and pumps. the first workshop was in Park Place, Marylebone. Became the Jackson Electric Stove Co Ltd in 1914 when the company also began making kettles. Associated with H N Davis from very early on 'The first World War tested us severely, for we could not keep a storekeeper, Works Manager or even a draughtsman. Consequently we could not check costs or keep a proper hold on anything, and we therefore had a hard struggle to finance the business, but Mr Harold Davis stood by us, and we just scraped through' (Z1471/2/4/1). Part of the Radiation group by 1958. The Jackson Industries name was in use by 1956 the name having been adopted in preference to a continuation of the Davis name.
