    States he is overworked and unwell Had managed to gather the hay before the feast 'Tolerable' turnip crop No loss among sheep and lambs this year Farming and trade now worse in the area Mrs Hurst unwell Mr Lamb better but cannot walk very far unaided James Lamb likely to marry Mrs Chapam of Greensbury, formerly Mrs William Green Eliz. Lamb been attended by Dr. Witt for more than 18 months but does not appear to have improved. No deaths in the villages since last correspondence but fears for Molly Abbott, George French, Mary Farrer and Betty Douglas. Travelled to Bolnhurst to attend funeral of Josiah Hartop and met with the surviving family. Mrs Green living with Mrs. H now has three sons at home and two married, one of which, William married the daughter of George Bottles lives at Keysoe College Farm, the other Benjamin married the daughter of Mr Howkins of Thurleigh Bury and lives in a farm belonging to the late William Peacock. Richard Kilpin buried his second wife Marie nee Makeham John Grant recently deceased and buried in Bolnhurst Church Concludes letter stating that Father, Elizabeth and Ann are well.
