    On the 1911 census George Osler is living at 9 Beatrice Street Kempston with his wife of 11 years Mary Osler, his daughter Stella Maud aged 10 (dies 1918), and sons George aged 5, Lewis Eric aged 3 and Edward Frederick aged 1. Two other children had died. George gave his occupation as Col Sergt in the 3rd Bedfordshire Regiment and the three eldest children were born in India where George had been serving in the army; Edward 'Ted' was born in Kempston in 1909. Iris was born in 1919 and married Herbert Culpin in 1939. By 1939 George has retired from both the army and from being a shop porter. He and his wife live at 6 Roise Street with sons Daniel (born 1911) and William (born 1924). George died 1944 aged 73.
