Letter from Rev. Moses Dodd, Fordham, Essex, to Lady Lucas, St. James' Square. Has been trying to raise a subscription that the poor of the parish may have some reason to rejoice on occasion of the general jubilee [Grand National Jubilee]. As the poor are very numerous, has not succeeded to the extent he had hoped. Seeks a contribution from Lady Lucas. [The golden jubilee of George III of the United Kingdom was celebrated on 25 October 1809, prior to the actual 50th anniversary in 1810.]
