    'Excavations inside St Paul's Church' by R. S. Mustoe. A report of the findings of excavations carried out during construction of the narthax (gallery & vestibule) and refitting of parts of the interior in 1980-81. Discoveries included 7 grave slabs and indications of previous structural alterations to the west end of the building dating to the 19th century.

    The grave slabs found were as follows: A. Thomas Gadsby 1725-1794, apothecary. B. Illegible. C. Deborah Gadsby 1755-1815 (no clear association with slab A). D. Illegible. E. Mary Marsh infant daughter of John and Ursula Marsh, died 30th October 1746 aged 2 months. John was an attorney in Bedford. F. Sarah Thom 1762-1824 and husband William Thom 1759-1832. Place of residence recorded as Camberwell, Surrey. G. Edward Jackson 1746-1802 and wife Jenny 1761-1841.
