- TitleArticles of the Peace: William Boughton of Ampthill, brickmaker, aginst Isaac Birdseye of Maulden, labourer. States on oath that Isaac Birdseye has at different times threatened him, and in particular on the 27th of June last said to his father, William Birdseye, that he would go and do his Uncle (the said William Boughton) a great injury. He apprehends that he is in danger of death at Isaac Birdseye's hands, and requires sureties for Birdseye "not for any hatred malice or evil will, but simply and purely that he is afraid that he the said Isaac Birdseye will do him the said William Boughton some bodily mischief".
