- Scope and ContentDear Uncle an[d] [Aunt] Excuses for not writing or coming down. Has given birth to another little boy who is doing well "tell Marryann with the assistance of Morrions Pills as he has had the measles .... love to Maryann and tell her that Thomas called heare ... and desired us ... his love to her ... Love to Eliza and I hope Mr B and her are upon good terms, as I think him a very sedate young gentleman" Hopes to have the pleasure of Eliza's company and perhaps Aunt will accompany her. Mr George Duncome gives his love to all Duncombes. If Eliza comes to London the Duncombes would pay for a visit to Brighton for her "Mr Duncombe appears delighted with his little boy, he says he is 9 months old and has got two teeath". The Clark's child Alfred will remember Eliza and has not forgotten Maryann, recognised a basket sent as hers and all brown dogs belong to her "I have put him in a frock and to day he looks such a great boy. Love to Mr and Mrs William Duncombe hope they and their little girl are well. Mr C joins with me ... yrs truly S C Clarke
