Gives a critical account of the churches in Bedford in 1857 including the six established churches, the Moravian Chapel, the Bunyan Meeting (also known as the Old Meeting), the Howard Chapel, the Baptist Chapel on Bick Street, the Providence Chapel, the Zion Chapel on Larke Lane, and Hornsey's Rooms. Also includes a letter published 2 months later from T.E. Robinson defending in particular the Bunyan Meeting.
