- Scope and ContentWent to Hemel Hempstead 2 days after 'The Birthday'. Had to return as it was expected that everyone near Town should be at Court yesterday, on account of the reconcillliation between the King and his brothers. Has been to see the camp in Hyde Park, and visited Sir Alexander Purves, who has a very neat tent. The part of the Royal Irish that were at Hemel Hempstead behaved remarkably well. Was going to the camp at St. James Park where the Guards are, but prevented by the rain.
