- Scope and ContentJohn Brown: Joseph Cuppist went into his shop to ask for work; whilst he was there he recognised a leathern bottle and a great coat, which the prisoner was wearing, to belong to his apprentice Christopher Hall. Christopher Hall: at first Cuppist said it was not Hall's greatcoat, but when he pointed out the fact that a button was almost off and he was certain it was his, Cuppist said "if it is your'n you may have it - I am sure it a'nt". William Tomms: took charge of the bottle and the greatcoat. Joseph Cuppist: was very tipsy and did not know what he was doing.
