    Notes on the Castle Rooms. Built 1840 and acquired, possibly leased, by Bunyan Meeting 1848 for use as a Sunday School, for church gatherings, teas etc until 1866 when the new Sunday School buildings were erected. Acquired by George Higgins in 1866. Used as a school by Miss Anette Sparks from 1877 and continued to be used for religious services including by the Plymouth Brethren. In 1914 it became a billiard hall owned by Mitchell and Son and then Percy Keech.
