- Admin/biog historyThe Sharnbrook Strict Baptist congregation was first formed in 1719. The first chapel was built in 1786 and rebuilt in the mid 19th century. In the mid 19th century the congregation also acquired land on which to build a manse for their minister. The congregation drew in people from villages other than Sharnbrook and by the end none of the congregation or trustees lived in the village. The congregation finally decided to end in 1989 and from that point decisions and negotiations about what to do with the property began. By the end of 1992 the trustees passed responsibilty to the Gospel Standard Baptist Trust and the records are held on deposit from that Trust.
