    Deceased held: 1) messuage formerly held by John Blanchfield of the crown from the manor of Potsgrove, who granted it to William Saunders on 3 March 1542. 2) 24 acres in Eastfield formerly held by Edward Stainton of the crown of the manor of Potsgrove, who granted it to William Saunders on 3 April 1542. 3) messuage situated on the road leading to the church, a close on the South side [blank] abutting on Leighton way, 5 acres in the fields of Potsgrove, of which one acre lies in Henhicht, bounded East by the land of the lord, West, by the land of John Morton; ½ acre in le Hycht, bounded North by the land of the lord, South, by the land formerly of Robert Rufford; ½ acre and le Hyche [blank] called le Pick adjoining, extending in length to Parvum Annulum [little ring], and abutting on Salway Mede, and one acre in le Hiche abutting on Salway Mede, all of which was formerly held by Edward Stanton and William Bourne of the king of the manor of Potsgrove and granted by them on 3 April [here the document breaks off]
