'I have eat no sort of animal food yet; this starving, with several good doses of physick, you may guess does not add much to my syrength, but as I hope the wind is changing out of the east, I flatter myself that I shall now get rid of my troublesome cough.' Mrs Pringle was brought to bed of a son who only lived two hours - the writer is extremely sorry. It was fortunate that Col. Pringle was at home. Today is the writer's 22nd wedding anniversary.
