General news of social events and visits, including twelfth night celebrations. Mr [Charles] Yorke has been appointed Chancellor. Col. Pringle has arrived from Scotland. Mrs Pringle is big with child again. Mr [William] Fordyce has disposed of his surgery... and has taken a doctor's degree at Cambridge. It will be a loss to his patients..'
