    i) Alfred Richardson ii) Henry Raynes On 1 and 10 July and 1 September 1880, property in 3rd part of 1st schedule [as in X501/15] were surrendered into hands of Lord of respective Manors By mortgage of 1 November 1874, premises in 2nd schedule were mortgaged to Frederick Hogg and George Race to secure £400 copyhold premises in 3rd schedule were mortgaged in 187[-] to Francis Fowler, Henlow, farmer, to secure £600 said principal sums are still owing now in consideration of £1850 and interest at 5% i) grants to ii) - all premises described in 1st and 4th parts of 1st schedule and in 2nd schedule - all messuages in lease of 25 March 1623 (and described in 2nd part of 1st schedule to this deed) i) will surrender into hands of Lord, copyhold property as in 3rd part of 1st schedule and in 3rd schedule, to use of ii) and subject to conditional surrenders made by i) to use of W T Chapman and Simeon Brown, to secure repayment of £5300 and interest, and subject to charge of £600 to Francis Fowler interest to be reduced to 4½% if paid within 28 days 1st schedule: freehold property being items 1stly to 5thly described in 1st part of X501/15 leasehold property being items 1stly and 2ndly described in 2nd part of X501/15 copyhold property as items 1stly - 5thly described in 3rd part of X501/15 and including a piece land (½ acre) called Woolpack Close, Potton 2nd schedule - freehold ground near Biggleswade Market Place 3rd schedule - ‘Golden Lion’ near Anchor End, Biggleswade signed: i) endorsed witness; W M Chapman, solicitor, Biggleswade receipt for repayment of £850 and interest by ii), 8 September 1881 also endorsed with covenants to produce this deed 5 February 1881 also endorsed with Transfer of mortgage a) Elizabeth Gray Raynes, Potton, spinster (executrix of Henry Raynes, died 18 October 1888) b) Alfred Richardson c) Sophia Elizabeth Raynes, wife of William Race Raynes d) Simeon Brown on 8 September 1888 b) paid £850 to Henry Raynes c) and d) have agreed to pay £1000 owing now in consideration of said £1000 a) and b) assign to c) and d) - freehold and copyhold properties as in 1st and 4th parts of 1st schedule, in 2nd schedule and in 3rd schedule and 3rd part of 1st schedule also b) assigns to c) and d) - leasehold properties as in 2nd part of 1st schedule signed: a) and b) witnesses: Frederick William Webb, solicitor, Bedford, Arthur Brooks 24 Aug 1889 also endorsed with Reconveyance I) Sophia Elizabeth Raynes II) Gabriel Smith Brown III) Alfred Richardson freehold property 1stly, 2ndly and 4thly described in 1st part and in 2nd schedule and copyhold property in 3rd schedule, have been sold now in consideration of all principal monies and interest I) and II) convey to III) - freehold property 3rdly and 5thly described in 1st part of 1st schedule I) and II) grant and assign to III) - leasehold property described in 2nd part of 1st schedule all copyhold premises 1stly - 5thly described in 3rd part of 1st schedule are released from principal money and interest signed: I) and II) witness: Henry Chaundler, solicitor, Biggleswade 9 Jan 1894
