  • Scope and Content
Health of husband gives the writer much uneasiness; he has no particular complaint, but is always low and fatigued. Mr Fordyce says that nothing can be done while the weather is so unfavourable. The House of Lords left off the meeting and rising early and now sit as late as ever, but 'my Lord' does not stay longer than five o'clock. The Douglas cause is expected to finish this week. [John] Wilkes has been chosen again for Middlesex, again expelled and puts up again for the county. It seems there is no truth in the story of Mr Gore's letting his house in Tring. Details of social events.
