    Mrs Baillie is very weak, but her Dr. Douglas does not expect her death immediately. Details of visitors. The market cross at Greenlaw 'looks extremely well.' There is now a butcher who comes there every week. The Duchess of Gordon has a daughter and Lady Stuart a son. The Duchess of Hamilton also has a son. 'Miss Hodges match is definitely off, so they have only made themselves ridiculous by talking so much about it to everybody.' Note: Births referred to are - Lady Charlotte Gordon, daughter of Alexander Gordon, 4th Duke of Gordon and wife Jane. Second son of John Stuart, Lord Mount Stuart and wife Charlotte.
