    Examination of George Hogg of Luton, labourer: is aged 14 and aware of the importance of an oath. Works for Mr Charles Tomson and attends to the ducks, counting them every night when he shuts them up in the duckhouse, and every morning when he lets them out. When he went with [Thomas] Quick to search the spinney he found two dead ducks (colouring described) hidden under some grass. They were his master's ducks. On the morning of that day he had let out 20 ducks, but in the evening there were only 18.
