    ... to father Edward Sutton, Willowhill Farm, Blunham, yeoman, and to father-in-law Thomas Battams of Turvey, yeoman, and to John Emery, Bedford, grocer - corn, hay, clover, animals, utensils in husbandry, stock, household goods, furniture and all personal estate in trust to convert into money to pay funeral expenses remainder to be invested in Public Funds to pay dividends and interest for maintenance and education of son Edward Sutton until 21, and then to transfer them to him If Edward die before 21, then to pay £200 to father-in-law Thomas Battams residue to be shared equally between testator’s sisters, Sarah, wife of William Sabey of Carlton, Hannah Sutton, Mary Sutton, Rebecca Sutton, Ruth Sutton Guardianship of son Edward during minority devised to Edward Sutton, Thomas Battams and John Emery. They are appointed joint executors of will will dated 4 Sep 1802 probate (Bedford) ‘sworn under £1000’ 19 Feb 1803
