    Writer is like a recluse - 'I go airing in a carriage thrust into and dragged out of it, but I make no visits, books are my chief companions.' Mention of a muting in the West Fencible Regiment commanded by Lord Frederick Campbell. The whole body is so penitant and ashamed that the private me have offered to go abroad and serve the king anywhere.
