Letter from Mary Yorke to Lady de Grey, marked 'Private'. Grandson Charles Isaac Yorke has now entirely quitted college [Trinity College, Cambridge] and wishes to acknowledge Lady de Grey's kind assistance to him when he first went there. The assistance that was afforded him enabled him to keep better company than he could otherwsie have done. He has not left a single bill behind him unpaid, and this without any addition to his usual allowance.

Has received a letter from Copenhagen from Grandson John Thomas Waddington. He feels sorry for Mr [Augustus John] Foster and his lady for their disappointment. The temperature is 22 derees below freezing and it is the fashion to go about in sledges.
