General Dowdeswell is in a declining state of health. Miss Plumptre hopes to be perfectly well by Christmas. Has just received a piece of wedding cake from Mrs Leatitia Dunne, nee Beauchamp. Expecting Lady Somers and Lady Margaret [Cocks], who will stay for a few days. Son Joseph contines to reside with the writer; his lady and family remain at the cottage, which he resorts to of a morning to teach Latin to his youngest son who is seven years old. Brief news of other family members.
