    i) Right Honourable George William Russell, commonly called Lord George William Russell of South Street, Grosvenor Square, Middlesex, Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to King of Prussia ii) Most Noble Francis, Duke of Bedford iii) Charles Higgins of Bedford, innkeeper recites: Expense incurred by iii) in erecting brewery, malthouse, corn chambers and other buildings hereby demised Indenture of Release and Appointment 21 July 1824 i) Most Noble John, Duke of Bedford, since deceased ii) ii), then as Marquis of Tavistock, eldest son and heir of i) iii) Right Honourable William Russell, commonly called Lord William Russell, since deceased William George Adam esquire, since deceased iv) Lord William Russell, Lord George William Russell and William George Adam v) Most Honourable Thomas, Marquis of Bath Right Honourable Henry Richard Vassall, Lord Holland (both since deceased) now: - property as in X369/3 together with brewery, malthouse, corn chambers, building to be used as a (Whig) Club Room and outbuildings erected on said land plan attached term: 90 years from 29 September 1837 rent: £5 per annum covenant that iii) to build messuage and to furnish a Club Room now partly built on site before 29 September 1841 according to attached specifications signatures: i) and ii) witnesses: Henry Francis Howard, attached to Legation at Berlin Christopher Haedy, Joseph Bailey, Bedford Office, Bloomsbury NB. Club Room referred to as Whig Club Room on plan
