    i) William Wilshere senior, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, gentleman Thomas Alsop, Luton, grocer (assignees of the estate of John Cook, late of Barton, carpenter, dealer and chapman, a bankrupt) ii) said John Cook iii) John Throckmorton, Weston Underwood, Northamptonshire, esquire (executor of estate of Mary Noddings, spinster, deceased, who survived her sister, Elizabeth Noddings) iv) Joseph Cole, Shefford, gentleman reciting the commission in bankruptcy issued against John Cook on 16 January last [1784] £140 is now due to iii) plus interest, which is more than the property is worth if sold. However iii) is willing to accept the property in full of the said sum of £140 now in consideration of 40s paid to i) by iii) to purchase the equity of redemption i) and ii) at direction of iii) release to iv) - close pasture (2 acres) in Brook End - cottage at Barton to be held in trust for iii) signatures of i) and ii) endorsed receipt witness: Isaac Coxall
