- Scope and ContentThe Joseph Yorkes have taken a house at Gloucester for February and March so that little Catherine will have masters. The writer is very glad, and has offered to pay them all. Lady Margaret Cocks and her mother are coming to visit. She says the visit of the 'Great Man' [Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester] went off very well. Mention of a novel 'The Favourite of Nature' by Miss Roscoe, daughter of the historian [William Roscoe]. 'I am sorry to say that the Bradshaws are upon the seas coming to England - all their friends I believe regret it; I am glad I have no empty house in this parish that Mrs Joseph Y might wish to poke her sister into at a low rent...'
