    i) Nicholas Denton senior, Barton in the Clay, esquire ii) Richard March, London, merchant iii) Robert Welborne, St Margaret, Westminster, gentleman whereas i) 'with severall other persons as his Eldest son his mortgagees and Trustees' has agreed to sell Faldoe Common and other lands in Higham Gobion and Barton to iii) and to Richard Swift of Lyons Inn, Middlesex, gentleman (part of which lands were made a security to John Dixie, by deed of 25 June 1670, for payment of £40 per annum) now is agreed that £20 per annum (½ of said yearly payment) be paid by iii) instead of interest for £400 purchase money, and other £20 by i) now i) agrees with iii) that if failure is made in payment of said £20 and it is paid by iii), said sum shall carry interest at 6% per annum. Every such payment and interest is to be deducted from £400 in hands of iii) also iii) binds himself to ii) in £800 for payment of said £20 per annum and repayment of £400 to ii) signatures of all endorsed various witnesses 28 Sep 1701 also endorsed Transfer ii) by direction of i) transfers to Philip Pledger, citizen and draper of London also i) by direction of James Cooke, citizen and draper of London, in consideration of £1800 paid by said James Cooke in release of even date, transfer to Philip Pledger - all their interest in within mentioned Articles in trust for James Cooke and subject to redemption (as mentioned in Release) 22 May 1702
