- Scope and ContentReference to a problem with Lady de Grey's eyes. Hopes it will not grow worse if the remedy of not reading by candlelight is adhered to. Reginald Yorke came from Eastnor Castle a few hours before the Duke of Gloucester was to arrive; Lord Pollington and Lord Eastnor come down to meet him, and the family from Croome are expected one of the days. Grandson Philip James Yorke remains there. Reference to grandson Reginald Yorke, who has been long absent. He admitted that the storms on his late voyage did not agree with his stomach at first. They saw His Majesty walking on deck, and their captain was frequently asked to dine in His Majesty's cabin with a select party. Reginald was disappointed not to see the King land on the coast of Ireland, due the the death of the Queen being announced. Mrs Broome has received notice to quit at Lady Day her little cottage in the Worcester High Road. Mr Buckle, his wife and her mother, Mrs Martin all spend the winter in Edinburgh. Thanks for sending Mr Robinson's account of John Thomas Waddington in Copenhagen.
