    Deposited by Lt Colonel H Birtch Renyardson, Adwell House, Tetsworth, Oxford, June 1956 Note: All these are admissions to the Manor of Leighton Buzzard alias Grovebury, which belonged at this time to the Dean and Canons of St George's Chapel, Windsor. The court is that of the farmer to the Dean and Canons; in th first four documents it is the Honourable Charles Leigh; in 1750 the court is that of the trustess of his will; (William Hayron, Francis Welles) in 1765 that of Edward Leigh, Baron of Stoneleigh; and in 1859 that of Henry Hanmer of Stockgrove, esquire, who bought the manor in 1863 The court in 1678 is "le Trimming Day" The stewards are: 1678 F Littleton; 1697 Thomas Maisterson; 1722 Francis Neale; 1729 William Hayton; 1750 (deputy Charles Pyne for Thomas Poole); 1765 William Hayton again; 1859 John Aldolphus Young. The copyhold land, though held of the manor of Leighton, is in Radnage, Buckinghamshire. There are two small properties, which come together in 1765
