Mention of approaching nuptials in the family and of Harriet Carew [Harriet Pole Carew married the widowed John Eliot, Lord St, Germans in 1819]. Suggestion that a previous admirer of Harriet was John Somers Cocks, who subsequently married Lady Caroline Yorke. Description of the countryside in the area. Comments relating to whether acknowledgment was paid to Lady de Grey's gamekeeper for venison sent to Forthampton last summer. Seeks permission to show Mr Ward Lady de Grey's letter on the subject of Mrs Sherwood's book ['An Explanation of the Church Catechism']. Reference to three weeks spent under Lady de Grey's roof.
