- TitleLetter from Mary Yorke to Lady de Grey, sent from Forthampton. Good wishes for the new year.
- Date free text31 Dec 1820
- Production dateFrom: 1820 To: 1820
- Scope and ContentThanks Lady de Grey for her advice regarding rents. Makes further comments about rents, the price of corn and bread, taxes & rates payable by farmers etc. Mention of Sir Edwin Sandys. Miss Martin is not yet married as Buckle has just come into a fortune by the death of an uncle (after the death of the widow), and affairs must be settled. Received a letter from Mrs Yorke and believe Letty Beauchamp [Laetitia Beauchamp-Proctor] is now recovered. Mrs Yorke did not mention the fire, so the writer thinks she has not been told of it.
