- Scope and ContentSent Miss Martin one of Lady de Grey's etchings via Mr Buckle; she was very grateful for it. No time is yet fixed for their wedding [possibly that of William Hill Buckle and Maria Martin, who married at Upton On Severn,Worcester in April 1821]. Mr Salmon's wedding takes place in 10 days; he has settled £100 per annum on his new lady. Agneta Beauchanp [Beauchamp-Proctor] is confined to a hard couch in consequence of some defect in the spine. No good hopes are given for her recovery. Maurice Beauchamp has got a ship to the East Indies as a cadet. Reference to current affairs - an address to the King is being sent from Gloucester. Anna Maria Yorke writes that she is much pleased with her warm and comfortable house. Her eldest son Philip James Yorke is recruiting at York - he speaks of it as a dirty looking town, but had not seen the cathedral. Mary Ann Yorke is now no longer to be attended by her physician, he allows her to eat fish and game.
