- Scope and ContentOn arriving at Eastnor, writer found an old Lincolnshire acquaintance, Mrs Chaplin, with her son and daughters. Also Lady Monson's daughter and an old aunt of hers. About 12 sat down to dinner, and for desert were regaled with some of Lady Brownlow's wedding cake [Widower John Cust, 1st Earl Brownlow married Caroline Fludyer in September 1818]. The writer hears she is an amiable woman, and hopes she will be good to the children. Writer moves to Beard's Hotel, Malvern on Monday and will stay for 10 days before returning to Forthampton. Writer hopes Comtesse de Hompesch has left London. Mention of daughter in law Anna Maria Yorke in Horkesley, and of book of French Tales.
